including Director Ms. Elizabeth Almeida and Producer Ms. Lucy McGhee. Thank you to the many staff members who headed crews, volunteer
and offered support in many ways.
- Winter Celebration of the Arts
You really missed something special if you did not attend the Sounds of the Season Holiday concert in December! Not only were the Jazz Band,
Senior Band and Junior band extraordinary, it featured exceptional solo musicians to knock your socks off. Prior to the concert, patrons
were treated to h'ordourves made by the foods classes while admiring an art show featuring the talents of our visual artists and fashion
students. Mrs. Cardona, Ms. MacKenzie, Ms. Sian, Ms. Linn and Mr. Payne demonstrated their talents in bringing out the best in students
while the work of Mr. Neufeld was no surprise to us. He has always brought us amazing concerts. Thanks to Mr. Hepburn for being our MCee.
- Go APHS Improv GO!!!
The APHS Improv Team has been rehearsing since September in preparation for this Month's first competition in the Canadian Improv Games.
Our school traditionally has been very strong, scoring in the top three in the Halton area every year and then in the top 5 provincially
each year. This team is shaping up to continue the great tradition. Please join us and cheer us the evenings Feb. 21-24 for the Halton
level championships. For details, locations and times, email Ms. Judge. judgek@hdsb.ca

May is Speech and Hearing Month
Did you know
Speech/Language Pathologists are hired by local school Boards with funding from the Ministry of
Education. The Speech/Language Pathologists work as part of the School Resource Team assisting
teachers and parents in the development of student's communication skills in the classroom.
Speech/Language Pathologists are also hired by private agencies providing services for the local
Community Care Access Centres (CCACs) with funding from Ministry of Health. These Speech/Language
Pathologists work directly with students at school who have specific difficulties (e.g. articulation
delay, stuttering, vocal nodules).
